Monetization Overview

Learn now Honeycommb’s Monetization tools help you accept payments, manage transactions, and lay the groundwork for earning revenue directly from your community.

What is Monetization?

Monetization in Honeycommb gives network owners a native way to earn revenue from their community without sending members to third-party tools or managing everything inside Stripe alone.

From the Control Center, you can;

  • Add on the Monetization addon (free)

  • Connect your Stripe account

  • Setup & activate subscriptions

  • Enable paid experiences like paid events

  • and view all payment activity in one place

Monetization Section

Once you've added the "Monetization Addon", and have connected a Stripe account, you will see...

Transactions

The Transactions table reflects all the transactions happening in your network and is a reflection of what is in your connected Stripe account.

You can view:

  • Transactions that are in progress

  • Completed payments

  • Failed transactions

  • Refunded payments

Each transaction includes detailed information so you can quickly see what was purchased, when it happened, and its current status, without logging into Stripe.

Subscriptions

The main Subscriptions area includes a table of all subscriptions: Active and Inactive Community Subscriptions and Group subscriptions. Clicking on any subscription allows you to manage its settings

Create new subscriptions by clicking the "Create New Subscription" button and selecting subscription type: Community Subscription -or- Group Subscription.

Promotions

The Promotions section allows network owners to create and manage promotions and promo codes directly from the Control Center.

With Promotions, you can:

  • Create promotions and promo codes members can apply during checkout

  • Offer percentage-based discounts (for example, 20% off)

  • Offer amount-based discounts (for example, $10 off)

  • Limit how many times a promo code can be used

  • Set expiration dates for time-bound promotions

  • and more...

All promotions created in Honeycommb are applied natively during the member checkout experience, making it easy to run campaigns, reward members, or test pricing—without adding complexity to your workflow.

Other features unlocked with Monetization

Once Monetization is turned on and your Stripe account is connected, new tools and sections become available across your Control Center.

Paid Events

When creating an Event, a new RSVP option becomes available. This makes it easy to run ticketed events, workshops, or one‑off paid experiences directly within your network.

Member Billing view

On each member’s profile in the Control Center, a new Billing section becomes available. This allows admins to:

  • Quickly understand a member’s payment and subscription history, including lifetime revenue earned from that member

  • View all transactions associated with an individual member

  • Manage the member's subscriptions, including gifting a subscription
