Every network created on the Honeycommb platform includes a standard set of terms and policies to ensure transparency, security, and compliance. These default policies cover essential areas such as Terms of Service, Privacy, Data, and Child Safety. However, since Honeycommb provides full ownership and control to network owners, these policies are governed by the respective network owner.
Default Terms and Policies
By default, when a network is created with Honeycommb it comes with a default set of terms and policies, some required by platform partners, like Apple and Google. Honeycommb's Terms of Service include an agreement that you agree to include these terms and policies with your network and are responsible for them. Default terms and policies include:
Terms of Service – Defines the rules and guidelines for using the network.
Privacy Policy – Outlines how user data is collected, used, and protected.
Data Policy – Details data retention, sharing, and security measures.

Network Owner Control and Customization
Network owners have the ability to:
Modify and create their own versions of the terms and policies.
Establish additional rules tailored to their community’s needs.
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations applicable to their network.
Terms of Service Updates
When a network creates a new Terms of Service, all existing members will be prompted to review and accept the new terms before continuing to use the network. This ensures members stay informed about any policy changes that may affect their engagement with the platform.
