A push notification is a message that pops up on your community members' mobile devices, even if they aren't using the app. You can create custom push notifications that include a title, message, and link target (where members go in the network when they tap on the notification). They're great for sharing important news, reminding members of events, and encouraging members to engage with the community.

How To Create a Custom Mobile Notification

  1. To begin, log in to your network with an Admin account and access your Control Center. (Read: How To Access The Control Center).

  2. Go to: Engage > Mobile Notifications and click the "Create New Notification" button.

  3. Add a Title (required): Bold text at the top of the notification

  4. Add a Body (required): Paragraph text found underneath the title (emoji-friendly 🐝)

  5. Tap Target: The "tap target" is where a member goes in your network when they tap on the mobile notification: User, Post, Event, or Group.

  6. Recipients: By default, notifications will go to everyone in your network without selecting specific recipients.

    1. Specific Recipients: Look for members by username and select them

    2. Verified Users: With the verified user system on, you can send notifications to Verified users only.

    3. Specific Group: Send your push notification to a specific group only.

  7. Send Date & Time: By default, notifications will be sent immediately. Select a future day and time you want the mobile notification to be published. This can be helpful if you're sending a mobile notification as a reminder for an event or livestream.
