Turn Off/On Network Posting

How to show or remove the primary network post button for members

Network Post Creation is a Feature Settings control that lets network owners decide whether members can create posts that may show up in the main network feed.

Find this setting in Control Center > Community Settings > Feature Settings.

What this setting controls

Network Post Creation controls the primary create post button in member applications (Web, iOS, and Android).

  • Show post button: Members can create posts for the main network feed. This is the default behavior.

  • Remove post button: The primary create post button is hidden from members, so members cannot create network-wide posts from that action.

What stays available

  • Admins can still post: Administrators retain full posting capabilities in the member applications.

  • Group posting is separate: Group post buttons are not controlled by Network Post Creation. Members who can post inside a group can continue using the group posting flow.

When to use it

Use Network Post Creation when you want a more curated main network feed, want members to participate through comments, reactions, groups, or events, or want your admin team to be the only group publishing network-wide posts.

How to update Network Post Creation

  1. Open your Honeycommb Control Center.

  2. Go to Community Settings.

  3. Open Feature Settings.

  4. Find Network Post Creation.

  5. Choose whether to show or remove the post button for members.

  6. Save your changes.

Notes

  • This setting is On by default for existing member posting behavior.

  • This setting only applies to the primary network post creation action for members.

  • This setting does not remove administrator posting tools.

  • This setting does not disable group-specific post creation.
