The Getting Started Checklist is a 10-step checklist of helpful suggestions to get your network set up, launched, and growing. Also found in your Control Center (unless removed), where you can check off each item to get to 100% completion.
Checklist Items
1. Set Community Name
This was done when creating your network. The name is used throughout the experience of your network, in transactional emails, and mobile notifications. You can change this name whenever you like - Control Center > Community Settings > General.
2. Watch: Control Center Overview
You may have seen this in the previous Help Center article "Control Center Overview". This video gives you a quick, high-level look at the powerful, standalone admin application that grants full control over your Honeycommb network.
3. Add Branding & Graphics
Visually brand your network by selecting an accent color and adding logos and other brand graphics to your network. Update these graphics at any time.
4. Adjust Onboarding Settings
Onboarding settings give you control over whether your network is public or private and the experience your members have when they sign up.
5. Create a Group
Groups are a great way to further organize content and people in your network. Groups can be public or private. Fill out a simple form to create as many groups for your network as you like.
6. Watch: Web Application Overview
Your network, including your login & registration page, is live! Get a high-level overview of your web applications and how it works.
7. Create Your First Post
Creating a post is easy. Click that + icon in your web apps primary navigation (top right). Add a title (not required), text - where you can also add hashtags and handles, images, or a video, and click âPostâ! Your post has been sent to your profile, the Discover area, and any members who might already be following you.
8. Activate Paid Subscriptions
Interested in generating revenue with your Honeycommb network? Activate Honeycommbâs Paid Subscription features (free) to connect Stripe and create subscription products your members can pay for.
9. Stay Informed: Join Colony
Colony is Honeycommbâs exclusive customer community. Request to join, become a member, connect with other Honeycommb platform customers, and stay informed on all things Honeycommb đ.
10. Keeping & Upgrading Your Network
To make sure you donât lose this network, add a payment method in your Control Center > Account & Billing > Payment Methods, and keep âRenew Automaticallyâ set to âYesâ. Upgrade to mobile apps and other features by clicking on âUpgrade & Addonsâ, select your addon and checkout right in your Control Center.
