The External RSVP setting lets you promote events inside your Honeycommb community while directing members to another platform to register or RSVP. This is perfect if you’re using tools like Eventbrite, Calendly, Zoom registration, or a custom landing page, but still want to leverage your community to drive attendance.
What Is External RSVP?
External RSVP replaces the standard RSVP button on your event with a custom link and button text of your choice.
Instead of responding inside Honeycommb, members are sent to your external registration or event page to complete their RSVP, ticket purchase, or registration.
This allows you to:
Keep using your existing event tools
Centralize event promotion inside your community
Avoid duplicate RSVP systems
Give members a clear path to register, RSVP, or purchase tickets
When to Use External RSVP
External RSVP is ideal when:
You’re managing registrations on another platform
You need advanced registration forms or workflows
Payments are handled outside of Honeycommb
Attendance tracking happens elsewhere
You want to list industry events that aren't managed in Honeycommb
If you want to charge members and manage access directly inside Honeycommb, use the Paid Event RSVP setting instead. To learn more, read: Paid Events In Honeycommb
