RSVP settings, found in the Event creation form, give you the flexibility needed to publish events of all kinds to your community.
RSVP
Members can RSVP to any event using "Does not require RSVP" -or- "Requires RSVP", allowing members to flag whether they're going, are interested, or are not going to an event. A few things happen when they indicate their RSVP status;
A member's RSVP status is available for viewing on the event by any member
The member's RSVP status is recorded and viewable in your Control Center on the Events "RSVP tab.
3. Members who RSVP "I'm Going" or "Interested" receive an email with calendar integration technology that can sync with common calendars.
RSVP Setting: Does not require RSVP
"Does not require RSVP" is the default setting when creating an event of any kind. Consider this setting as the selection for when you want to make the event one that anyone in the network can attend regardless of any RSVP status.
This setting makes all event information, including address location (meetup), online location link (online), and livestream location information.
RSVP Setting: Requires RSVP
Choose this RSVP setting when you want to confirm who in the network is going and/or if there is a limit to the number of attendees to the event.
This setting hides the necessary event information a member would need to attend the event until they choose to RSVP "I'm Going" or "Interested".
RSVP Setting: External RSVP
This RSVP setting was created to empower network owners to create and market events to their members that happen outside of the network itself. This feature turns the RSVP button into a button, with customizable text, that points members to a link that the event creator can set.
Use cases this supports include:
Selling event tickets on another platform
Webinars using webinar platforms
Zoom / videoconferencing calls
Facebook live & Youtube livestream events
Industry events
Editing RSVP Settings
You can edit RSVP settings after an event is published.
Changing any event from "RSVP Required" to either "RSVP not required" or "External RSVP" will remove all RSVP's from the event. This will also produce an event update transactional email to inform RSVP'ers that the event has changed.
