Publish to Custom Developer Accounts

This article walks you through the steps to publish your iOS and Android applications to your developer accounts on Apple and Google.

Customers can choose to publish the iOS and Android mobile applications to their own Apple and Google developer accounts. Instructions to do this are below:

Purchase the "Publish to Developer Accounts" addon

  1. Purchase Honeycommb Add-On: Publish to Developer Account

    1. Navigate to your community's Control Center Account & Billing Section, and click Explore Upgrades & Addons.

    2. Purchase the Publish to Developer Account Add-on

Google Play Requirements & Setup

    1. Google approval can take 1-7 working days

  1. Create a project in the Google Cloud Console

  2. Grant Access to Honeycommb

    1. Above the table, click Grant Access

    2. Add new principal:

      1. Role: Owner


    1. Click Save

  3. In the menu on the left, click Users and permissions

  4. Click Invite new users

    1. Account permissions: Admin

  5. In the menu on the left, click Account details

    1. Change Contact email address to the one provided by your success manager

      1. This will allow our team to be notified when Google tries to reach out regarding app rejections. All communications will be forwarded to you as well.

Apple Requirements & Setup

  1. Setup Apple Developer Account + API Access

    1. NOTE: You must enroll as an Organization. We cannot integrate with Personal accounts.

    2. Click Invite (blue + Icon)

      1. First Name: Developer

      2. Last Name: Operations

      3. Permissions: Admin

      4. If not already, also check:

        1. Access to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles.

        2. Access to Cloud Managed Developer ID Certificate

    3. Click Next

    4. Click Invite

    5. Click Add (blue + Icon)

      1. Name: Honeycommb

      2. Access: Admin

    6. Click Generate

    7. Download the API Key (.p8 file)

    8. Copy the Issuer ID & Key ID

    9. Send API Key, Issuer ID, and Key ID to our team at [email protected]
