Update User Custom Fields
To add a custom attribute to an existing user in your community, please take the following steps:
1. Edit the user that you would like to add or adjust a custom attribute for.
2. Once in the user profile, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see all of the custom fields you've created:
Here, you can edit, adjust or update the custom attributes that you'd like to manage for this user account.
3. When complete, select "update user" and your data will be saved to the user
NOTE: Attributes can only be applied to users with existing profiles. Pre-Users do not have any attributes tied to their account as they are not an existing user. See our article on User Account Types for further clarity there! Only 'string' custom field types show up on user profiles within the network currently. More updates to come!
